The eagle is a universal symbol representing the sun, power, strength, courage, authority, victory, the sky gods. In Paganism the eagle represents renewal and is an emblem of Jupiter. The eagle appears in many nation's emblems and coats of arms including Austria, Egypt, Germany, Mexico, Poland, Ghana, Russia, Serbia, Nigeria, Armenia, Iceland, Iraq and Jordan. The Bald Eagle is the US's national emblem and is found across North America.
A collective of eagles or gathering of bishops is a convocation. Some Eastern Orthodox and Greek Catholic bishops stand on small embroidered eagle rugs during services. The eagle rug is always placed so that the head of the eagle faces the direction the bishop will be facing.

Eagle & Feather are Julian Butler, aka Eagle, and Stephen Earl Rogers, aka Feather. Collaboratively, Eagle & Feather have been putting their own interpretation on the term "kipple" for a number of years which is a term borrowed from Phillip K Dick referring to the detritus of modern living that will one day overwhelm us. Through regular visits to charity shops, public libraries and jumble sales Eagle & Feather have amassed a collection of absurdly peripheral and esoteric videotapes, selected for their distinct peculiarity.
